We are a firm of accountants based in Medway, who specialise in providing accountancy, taxation and advisory services to our small business clients. We have over 20 years experience in advising small businesses, and we partner with our clients by operating under a fixed fee. Advisory only works if there is communication, and we never want our clients to question contacting us in fear of a bill.
Dan Edwards – owner
Dan trained and qualified at a large Kent based accountancy firm where he remained for 15 years before 5 years as a Director at a top 20 practice, followed by a Partner position at a top 10 practice. Dan has always focused on Owner Managed Businesses as this enabled him to be a part of the solution for them and to make a difference to both the owners and their businesses. Acting for businesses across a range of industries and for personal tax clients across a large spectrum has given Dan wide ranging experience. He prides himself on applying “real world” factors to every situation to give a truly holistic view.
“I started Veritons so that I could build an accountancy firm that focused on the service delivery to Owner Managed Businesses without the compromises that come from the constant monitoring of the metrics used in the industry. These stifle the ability to have close relationships with clients. Many firms will say they want to be your trusted business advisors, but slap you with a bill after a phone call as they have to record their time – we don’t record our time for this very reason. We simply bring enthusiasm, plain speaking, and a fresh approach to every relationship so both us and our clients can enjoy the business journey.”
At Veritons we do not record our time spent on your engagements. We do this for two reasons;
- we encourage open lines of communication, and to record time for invoicing purposes would discourage that. The last thing we want is our clients to question contacting us for fear of a bill.
- we fix a fee with you for each engagement and we stick to that fee. This removes the need to record our time. Our fees are fixed at rates based on our experience and knowledge to ensure engagements are completed to the highest standards. The fees are fixed for two years, but we have an incredible client referral scheme to say thank you, allowing you to reduce the costs further.
